Our kayaking trip starts from the Ironworks village of Mathildedal. We paddle through the beautiful scenery of the Teijo coastline while getting to know the wildlife of the area. Might we see an Otter or a Great Crested Grebe fishing on the way?
In Island Kai, we’ll enjoy a lunch prepared for us by a local forest restaurant, relax on the cliffs and enjoy the beautiful seascape before heading back to Mathildedal. Our journey will be about 20 kilometres in total.
After returning to Mathildedal, you can explore the small shops and restaurants in the area.

Guided canoe trip Lake Hamarijärvi, Teijo National Park

The excursion is guided by an experienced professional guide. You will learn how to navigate safely in single and double kayaks and Canadian canoes.
After the technical part, you will go on a paddling trip to the beautiful landscape of Lake Hamarijärvi, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by a local forest restaurant.
At the end of the paddle and lunch, you can also take a bath in the clear water of Lake Hamarijärvi and enjoy the warmth of the sauna in the Ironworks village of Kirjakkala.
